Here's a nice interactive exercise which covers narrative tenses made on PowerPoint. It's a set of 10 questions which aims to assess student's knowledge on the differences between past perfect, past continuous, and past simple tenses. The question slides are tied to a timer of thirty seconds, which challenges the learners to answer them in time.

If you have a large class, then I suggest you to make teams in class and ask the rest of the class to give the correct answers when a team fails to answer a question.
